The Dream Trip Project is our way of sharing the magic with families who could use it most. Traveleers LLC donates its time, planning, and expertise to design an unforgettable Disney trip for a family navigating a hard season, and our community helps fund the trip itself. This page explains exactly how it works, how families are chosen, how the money is handled, and what we can and can't promise. We keep it plain and honest, because that's the whole point.
Anyone can nominate anyone. You don't have to be related to a family to nominate them, and you're welcome to nominate your own. The family you nominate must be residents of the United States. There is no cost to nominate, ever, and no purchase or donation is required to submit a nomination or to be selected.
Selection is based on need and story, at the discretion of Traveleers LLC. We look for families facing real hardship, and we hold this to a high standard, so not every nomination will move forward. We read each one with care.
When more than one family stands out and we simply can't choose between them, we may use a random selection tool to make the final call among the finalists. We mention this so you know our process is fair and not arbitrary. Because selection depends on the nominations we receive and on funding, we don't run to a fixed calendar. A family's trip is scheduled once their campaign is fully funded, so timelines vary from one family to the next. We'll share estimates when we can, but we can't promise specific dates.
We want to be upfront. Submitting a nomination does not guarantee that a family will be selected. Being selected does not guarantee that a trip will be fully funded, and funding depends entirely on the generosity of the community. A trip is planned and booked only once the funds are in place. Everything here is also subject to availability, the family's participation, and circumstances outside our control.
Creating a trip like this takes a village. When a family is selected, Traveleers LLC sets up and manages a dedicated GoFundMe campaign for that specific family. We cover the platform's payment-processing fees, so 100% of every donation goes toward the family's trip, including park tickets, dining, and flights. We then add our own agency resources and donated planning on top to bring the whole thing together.
Traveleers LLC is not a registered 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization. Because of that, donations to the Dream Trip Project are not tax-deductible. Please don't treat them as charitable contributions for tax purposes.
If a family's campaign doesn't reach its goal right away, we don't cancel the dream. We keep the campaign open and continue raising funds for that same family until the trip is fully funded, then we schedule and book it. If a campaign raises more than its goal, the extra goes to that same family, whether that's enhancing their trip or supporting them directly. Funds raised for a family are always intended for that family.
We take stewardship of donations seriously. Funds for each family are held in a dedicated fund or account set up for that family, kept separate from Traveleers LLC's general business accounts, and used solely to plan and book that family's trip. Traveleers LLC establishes and controls each campaign and is the only party authorized to withdraw the funds, which we disburse only toward the selected family's trip. We follow GoFundMe's terms of service in how each campaign is created and managed.
Part of the magic is the reveal. Whenever possible, we work with the person who nominated the family, or a trusted contact, to keep the trip a surprise for as long as we can. Before we share a family's name, story, photos, or video publicly to help raise funds, we get permission from the family (or a parent or guardian). If a family would rather keep things private, we can raise funds with limited or anonymized details.
Every nomination is confidential. We don't publish or share the details of a nomination without permission. If a family is selected, we only share their story, photos, or video publicly with their consent, and for anything involving children, we get a parent's or guardian's permission first. We handle personal information carefully and use it only to run the program and coordinate the trip. We never sell your information.
Travel comes with normal risks, and we want everyone protected. Before a trip, the selected family will be asked to review and sign a liability waiver. Traveleers LLC helps plan, book, and coordinate the trip, but we aren't responsible for the acts of airlines, resorts, parks, or other third-party providers, or for circumstances beyond our reasonable control.
We may update, pause, or end the Dream Trip Project, or adjust how it works, at any time. If an emergency or circumstances beyond our control make it necessary to cancel or change a campaign before a trip is booked, we'll handle any funds responsibly and transparently, either applying them to the family's benefit or refunding donors, depending on what's appropriate and possible. We'll always aim to do right by the family and the people who gave.
Traveleers LLC is an independent travel agency. The Dream Trip Project is our own program and is not sponsored, endorsed by, or affiliated with The Walt Disney Company, Disney Destinations, Universal, or any other resort, park, or travel provider we may book with.
We're not tax advisors, and everyone's situation is different. Donations are not tax-deductible, and depending on the circumstances, a trip's value may have tax implications for the family. We encourage families and donors to talk with their own tax professional with any questions.
